Danny Ward says he's satisfied with his role at Liverpool.
The Wales No1 is battling Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet for a first team chance at Liverpool this season.
But Ward told the Liverpool Echo: “You always want to be playing football, every footballer wants to play, it gives you something to look forward to at the end of the week.
“But as regards my position since the start of the season, it's been about a lot more than going for the number one position.
“As much as you want to play, you want to be helping provide Liverpool with the best possible goalkeeping choice you can and all three of us all work our socks off every day and push each other to try to get the best out of each other.
“That's what we've been doing and we'll continue to work that way that.
“Ultimately the manager has the choice of who plays and we all respect his decisions."
