David Ocloo can never handle Hearts of Oak - Former Hearts of Oak captain Samuel Nzemaba

Former Hearts of Oak captain Samuel Nzemaba has questioned Assistant Coach David Ocloo's capacity to manage the prestigious Ghanaian football club, claiming that Ocloo is unsuitable for the demanding role.

Assistant coach David Ocloo was tasked to manage the Phobians after Serbian trainer Slavko Matic was sacked by the club mid-season.

The Accra-based club ended the 2022/23 season in 12th place with 46 points.

"David Ocloo can never handle Hearts of Oak. I heard him in an interview saying he is ready to coach the team if given the opportunity. You had a poor result as an interim so how can you be appointed as the head coach," he told Ghanasportspage.com.

"It’s not done anywhere and I won’t even agree if they decide to give him the job. David Ocloo is an average coach,"

“Hearts is not like Bofoakwa Tano and other small clubs. The team demands and you can’t sack the head coach and give the job to someone who is an average coach. It was a big mistake but I hope things will change next season to get someone who can control the team,”
