FC Nantes right-back, Dennis Appiah has charged his teammates to continue working hard in training ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 French Ligue 1 season.

The team after regrouping for pre-season have kept a 100% record all the friendly matches they have played.

Over the weekend, the team defeated Ligue 2 side Le Havre 3-1 in a game that featured Dennis Appiah.

Speaking in an interview after the match, the French-born player who is Ghanaian descent has noted that things have turned out well in pre-season so far.

“Despite the few matches we had, we are still undefeated, we only take one goal. It's positive. On this last match, we manage to put three, that should lead us to have enough confidence for next week in Bordeaux. I think that throughout the season we will have to keep working, but we can do good things. The team has a good technical foundation, we hold the ball well if we want”, Appiah said in the post-match interview.

He further shared that FC Nantes needs to continue working to achieve the best form before the start of the French Ligue 1 season next month.

“We have to work on the intensity too, there we put a little more than in the other matches. That's good, but a lot more needs to be done because next week it's going to be something else, for real. We'll have to be ready, but I'm excited because competition is what we love. We work for that. We can't wait to be there and we'll be ready, we didn't do it all for nothing”, he added.
