The right-back was part of the couple of players released by the reigning MTN FA Cup winners ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

On Tuesday, the Phobians released Larry Sumaila, Frederick Ansah Bocthway, William Dankyi, Manaf Umar, Kofi Kordzi, and Patrick Razak.

In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the enterprising defender expressed worry about the club’s decision to part ways with him.

“At the moment, I have not received any official letter from the club but I’m sure I am going to get it. My exit from the club is a worry because I have Hearts of Oak at heart”

“To be honest, I was shocked when a friend informed me about my release because I didn’t know the club has taken such a decision. I believe it is part of life so I have accepted it in good faith” he said.

Larry Sumaila is expected to secure a move to a new club before the start of the new season.
