Defending champions Medeama made their home advantage count after beating Real Tamale United to snatch maximum points in matchday 30 of the Ghana Premier League this weekend.
The host, Medeama, inflicted a 1-0 win over the relegation threatened RTU to maintain their winning run having defeated Great Olympics previously.
Medeama opened the scoring at the Akoon Community Park through Diawisie Taylor in the 38th minute mark as the host went to the halftime break with the advantage.
And with no additional goal, the Yellow and Mauves cruised to victory to merit the three maximum points at stake.
The Yellow and Mauve has move to the fourth position on the league log, accumulating 44 points after 30 matches so far this season.
With four games to end the season, the Tarkwa-based club will be aiming at securing maximum points.
Real Tamale United, on the other hand, are bottom on the Premier League standings with four games to end the campaign.
However, the remaining matches will be key for Real Tamale United’s survival hopes. They cannot afford to drop points this time if they are poised to retain their status in the Ghanaian top-flight.
