Asante Kotoko’s new signing, Patrick Asiedu, has described his move to the club as a dream come true.
He has expressed his readiness to give his best to the Ghana Premier League side.
“I used to attend Kotoko matches with a dream of playing for this club. Even though I am a defender, I always admired Eric Bekoe and I hope to meet him. Obviously, this is a big club and I am ready to give my all,” Patrick Asiedu said in his first interview.
Patrick Asiedu, 21, officially joined Asante Kotoko from Berekum Chelsea on Friday, July 26.
He is one of several players recruited by the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
“Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the signing of talented 21-year-old left-back Patrick Asiedu from Berekum Chelsea,” the Reds announced in an official statement.
Despite his young age, Asiedu brings substantial Ghana Premier League experience to Asante Kotoko, having already played 50 matches in the top-flight league and establishing himself as a top defender.
Expectations are high for him as Kotoko aims to contend for the league title in the upcoming season.
