Liverpool is reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong.

According to Bild, Liverpool manager Arne Slot is highly impressed with the Netherlands international and is keen on bringing him to Anfield.

Frimpong's contract includes a buyout clause of €40-45 million (£33.7-38m), making him a potential target for the Premier League side. The 23-year-old, who is a former Manchester City youth player, joined Bayer Leverkusen in January 2021 and has since established himself as a key player. He has made 100 appearances in the Bundesliga, winning 56 matches and scoring 18 goals.

Currently valued at €50 million by Transfermarkt, Frimpong is reportedly considering his future at Bayer Leverkusen, where he is contracted until 2028. The right-back, who represented the Netherlands in Euro 2024, is said to be dreaming of a move to a top club such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, or Arsenal.

Bild suggests that Frimpong is open to a potential move this summer, which could see Liverpool make a significant bid to secure his services.
