Defender Michael Awuah Mensah is aiming to repay Hearts of Oak for acquiring his services from Nations FC in the ongoing transfer window.

The highly-rated centre-back recently secured a move to the Phobians following an impressive performance last term with debutants, Nations FC.

He penned a three-year deal with the Accra-based club and is expected to play a huge role for the team next season.

Speaking in an interview, Mensah expressed he is eager to repay the club for securing his services from Nations FC.

“I have my personal target. I want to help Hearts of Oak to reclaim lost glory. I will repay the club after spending huge sums of money to sign me. I’m ready to give my all at the club” he said.

The Phobians narrowly avoided relegation following a 3-2 comeback win over Bechem United on the final day of the Ghana Premier League last season.

Their disappointing performance in the recently concluded campaign saw the Ghanaian giants finish 14th on the table.

But the defender is poised to help the club excel in the upcoming football season.
