Highly-rated defender Yahaya Dawuni has expressed his delight after completing a move to dream club, Asante Kotoko SC.
The Porcupine Warriors on Tuesday completed the signing of defender from lower-tier club, Susubiribi.
“I feel so happy to be here. Kotoko is my dream club and I am honoured to be part of this great family, to be able to don the iconic red jersey and also play in front of the loyal supporters at the Baba Yara Stadium”, Dawuni told Asante Kotoko Communication Directorate.
Yahaya Dawuni becomes the first signing of the Kumasi-based who are in the market for quality players that can compete in the upcoming campaign.
He is expected to play a huge role for the two-time Champions League winners next season.
The talented defender was a target for several clubs in the Ghanaian top-flight but opted to join the record Premier League holders.
Kotoko endured a torrid campaign last-term, finishing 4th position at the end of the 2022/23 league season.
