Dele Alli Dismisses Rumours of £50m PSG Bid Luring Him Away From Tottenham

One of the latest stories generated by the rumour mill is a proposed £50m bid by ParisSaint-Germain in the summer for Tottenham's Dele Alli. The 20-year-old has been impressing in the Premier League and Champions League ever since his move from MK Dons in 2015.

Alli, who won the PFA Young Player of the Year Award in 2015/16 and has won caps for England on the international stage, has affirmed that the PSG move is indeed just a rumour to reassure worried Spurs fans.

"It's all just rumours to be honest with you," he said toSky Sports News HQ, at a Premier League Kicks event in London."I have just signed a new contract with Tottenham, I am happy here. I couldn't think of a better place to be at my age."

"It has been a great year for me, I have had a lot of success in my career so far but I have got to keep improving, keep getting better, and make sure 2017 is even better."

Alli's Spurs side suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss at Old Trafford on Sunday, which leaves the Lilywhites ten points behind league leaders Chelsea. However, Alli does not see this as the end of Spurs's title challenge.

"I think so," he replied, when asked if Tottenham can still lift the trophy in May. "We are a team that is confident in ourselves, we fancy ourselves against anyone."

"I think we need to be a little bit more consistent. We are still working on it and we are still working together as a team.

"But we have got a great side and we are happy to sit underneath the radar and just keep picking up points.

"It is no good being good in halves of games or in one game and not in the next one. When we find our rhythm, I am sure we will be a great team again."
