Teenager Jérémy Doku says he is eager to start his new career at French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais FC.
The Belgian Jupiler Pro League club on Monday evening announced that they have sealed the signing of the attacker on a 5-year deal.
“Young Belgian international Jérémy Doku joins Stade Rennais FC! The striker is committed for 5 years in favor of the Red and Black”, an official communique on the Twitter page of the French Ligue 1 club has said.
Speaking in his first interview after completing the move, the teenage sensation says he is delighted and cannot wait to get started.
“I am very happy to sign for a club like Stade Rennais FC. I am very impatient. I just want to be on the field and play”, Doku said as quoted on the website of Stade Rennais.
He continued, “Ligue 1 is a higher level than the Jupiler Pro League. I'll have to show what I'm capable of, but I'm ready”.
