Outcast Barcelona full back Aleix Vidal looks set on leaving the Camp Nou this transfer window, but a move to Galatasaray will not be happening after the club's director revealed the reason behind the collapsed loan deal.

As reported bySport English, Galatasaraydirector Levent Nazifoglu said, "The terrorism [threat] affected the negotiations with Vidal", explaining why the Spanish international turned down a move to the Turkish giants.

The 27-year-old was tipped to become the long term successor to Dani Alves in the right back berth for the Catalan club, but manager Luis Enrique has instead opted for converted midfielder Sergi Roberto in the role.

This has left the former Sevilla and Almeria a forlorn figure at the reigning La Liga champions and he has been heavily linked with a loan move away from the club. Galatasaray were keen on bringing in Vidal until the end of the season, but they will need to look elsewhere now.
