Black Stars assistant coach Didi Dramani has shared how Ghana can win African Cup of Nations (AFCON) title that has eluded the country for many years.

The former Asante Kotoko coach was reappointed by the Ghana FA on Sunday to serve as an assistant coach for Ghana's Black Stars.

Explaining how Ghana can win the AFCON title, he said, “It is too early when the team is even not there and when I am not even the leader of the team.

It is important for us to have a progressive thinking of how to create success and the creation of success is putting in place a comprehensive team.

No coach says I will go and win this, you have to be advocating to develop the team and when you develop the team, it progresses and when it progresses it will give you the right results.”

The West African powerhouse have failed to win the AFCON title in over three decades.

Ghana have come close to ending the trophy drought in the last decade, 2010 Angola losing to Egypt in the finals and in 2015 Equatorial Guinea- Gabon as the Stars lost to Ivory Coast on penalty shootout.

The Black Stars will return to action in March for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana will host Angola in their third group game at the Cape Coast Stadium next month.

The West African powerhouse top Group E with 4 points after two matches into the qualifiers.
