AZ failed to close the gap with leader Ajax on Sunday evening. In fact, due to the 0-3 defeat in the North Holland derby, AZ are now at a whopping thirteen points behind.
Striker Myron Boadu is very disappointed after the match.
"This is a painful defeat. Especially the way we lose it. We didn't get many opportunities, but three hundred percent opportunities and we miss them,"
Boadu is referring to a moment in which he himself was involved. After a good sprint, he failed to outsmart Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
"My second assumption was just below me. I shoot him but I shoot him wide. I just had to make it because then it will be 2-1 with ten minutes to go," he added.
