Division One League: Koforidua Semper FI hire Charles Asante Boateng as head coach

Division One League outfit Koforidua Semper Fi have officially appointed Charles Kwabena Asante Boateng as their new head coach for the upcoming season.

In a bid to secure promotion to the top-flight, Semper FI have settled on Charles Boateng, known in football circles as ‘Mboma’, who has had stints with Great Olympics, Accra Lions, Inter Allies, and others to lead the club.

The experienced tactician will supervise Semper FI activities for the 2024/25 season after penning a one-year deal with the club.

The ambitious club has returned to Koforidua and are set to use the Multipurpose Complex for their home games.

Semper FI came close to securing qualification to the Ghana Premier League two seasons ago after finishing second behind Heart of Lions, the eventual winners in Zone 3.

Unfortunately, the team dropped to the 9th position in the recently concluded campaign but are eager to make impact in the upcoming campaign.
