Division One League: Young Apostles want more protection at match venues

Published on: 17 April 2021

Young Apostles FC has called for equal officiating and protection at all match venues as the Division One League second round resumes this weekend.

The Apostles finished seventh in the first round of the season, but members of their playing body and management say they would have finished even higher if it hadn't been for unfair officiating and hooliganism as they played away from home.

"We are nine points behind the leaders and we are hopeful that we can climb higher with improved officiating and security at all match venues because at times the intimidation is too much," Defender Suleman Adomako told Graphic Sports.

"We need the support of the officials and the security men so that when we are on the pitch we would have no fears of an attack and be fully focused on the match," Striker Emmanuel Mensah added.
