Black Stars midfielder, Mohammed Kudus voiced his frustration after being repeatedly criticized by Frank Kwaku Appiah, also known as Appiah Stadium.

The incident occurred at Prempeh I International Airport as Kudus was preparing to travel with the Black Stars to Morocco for an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger.

Kudus had paused to take photos with enthusiastic airport staff when Appiah Stadium began criticizing him, alleging that Kudus was underperforming for the national team compared to his club form.

At first, Kudus chose to ignore the comments and engaged with the fans. However, as the criticisms continued, he eventually responded, questioning if Appiah Stadium valued the goals more than he did.

Despite requests from airport staff and bystanders for Appiah Stadium to cease his remarks, the criticism persisted. Frustrated, Kudus soon left to join his teammates and coaching staff for their departure to Morocco on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

In a separate video, Appiah Stadium was seen praising Jordan Ayew but also advising him to smile more on the field.

The Black Stars are set to face Niger on Monday, September 9, in their second Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Ghana previously lost their opening match 1-0 to Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
