Manchester United have handed goalkeeper Theo Richardson a contract.
The Manchester Evening News says following a spell at Leeds, the 18-year-old joined the club on trial earlier this year and made his debut in the mini Manchester derby at the Etihad in March.
The Lincoln-born stopper impressed in the 2-2 draw and made a series of acrobatic saves at the death as both teams went in search of a winner.
Richardson continued to catch the eye despite stiff competition and was named on the bench for the under-23s' penultimate game of the season against Arsenal.
The teenager has since played in the Dallas Cup and will feature in United's return to the prestigious Super Cup NI tournament - formerly the Milk Cup - in Northern Ireland this week.
