German Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund have announced that they are releasing Coach Otto Addo to the Ghana FA for a short period this month.

This is to allow the coach to lead the Black Stars of Ghana for their upcoming international friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda.

Later at the end of the season, Dortmund will end their agreement with Coach Otto Addo for him to fully take charge of the Black Stars as new head coach.

“Bundesliga soccer team Borussia Dortmund and top talent coach Otto Addo will end their long-standing collaboration in the summer. The 48-year-old had previously asked BVB to terminate his contract in order to be able to accept an offer from the Ghanaian Football Association. In Ghana, Addo receives a long-term contract as national coach.

“BVB will also release Addo at short notice for the coming international match period. The Hamburg native, who celebrated the German championship as a player with BVB in 2002, will then return to Dortmund and continue his work with the club's greatest talents until the summer,” Dortmund announced on Friday, March 15.

Ghana’s games against Nigeria and Uganda will be played on March 22 and March 26, respectively.
