Dortmund Stars Reflect on Their 3-0 Demolition of Freiburg Ahead of DFB Cup Showdown

Thomas Tuchel's men ran out 3-0 winners over Freiburg on Saturday, registering their 11th win of the season.


After dominating the game throughout, with goals coming fromSokratis Papastathopoulos and a brace fromPierre-Emerick Aubameyang, BVB cruised to their 4th away win of the season.


Speaking to Sky after the game,via BVB.de, Marco Reus said that "We didn't let them get into the game at all. We played very good football at a high tempo for the whole 90 minutes."

Registering a total of 27 shots, with 10 on target, Reus further commented that, "We should've been more than 1-0 up at the break. Once we scored the second goal after the break it became easier for us."


Former Freiburgshot-stopper and now Dortmund keeper,Roman Burki, also spoke to the press after the game saying "All in all, that was a very satisfying and positive afternoon. We were very good and dominated for the whole 90 minutes."


Later adding, "It was a good performance. I'm happy we managed to keep a clean sheet away from home."

Tuchel now prepares his side ahead of their visit to Sportfreunde Lotte in the quarter finals of the DFB Cup. He will be hoping for a replica performance from his side and a result that enables them to progress to the semi finals.
