Sebastien Haller announced on Thursday that the second surgery to remove his testicular tumor had been successful. Remember that the striker for Borussia Dortmund underwent surgery in the summer after being found to have an illness shortly after joining the German club.

Just over a week earlier, the former Ajax star had revealed that, following many chemotherapy treatments, he would have a new operation.

"A new stage. The second operation went well! A big thank you to the medical team for all their help. I can't wait to start the next stage," he posted on Twitter.

The transfer fee paid for Haller was €31 million, which could be increased to as much as €34.5 million after undisclosed bonuses. On 18 July, Haller withdrew from the club's pre-season training camp in Switzerland after a tumour was found in his testicle.
