Dreams FC coach Karim Zito reveals challenges in strategizing against Zamalek's shifting play styles ahead of CAF Confederation Cup second leg

Karim Zito, the head coach of Ghana's Dreams FC, has shared his thoughts on the challenges faced in preparing strategies against Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek, who are known for their ever-changing playing styles.

The coach's remarks come ahead of the second leg clash of the CAF Confederation Cup semifinal, following a goalless draw in the first leg held in Cairo.

According to Zito, Zamalek's unpredictable approach to each game has made it difficult for Dreams FC to formulate effective strategies.

In an interview with Peace FM, as reported by Footballghana.com, Zito said, "Monitoring Zamalek was difficult because they change playing styles every time. It helped that we watched their two matches ahead of the first leg clash, but their way of playing is still difficult to predict."

The Dreams FC coach further elaborated on Zamalek's varying tactics, stating, "When we finished our game, they played differently. When we watched their game against Al Ahly, it was different, and when we went there, it was different again."

Zito also mentioned that the team had the opportunity to watch a lot of Zamalek's games through Zamalek TV before the first leg, which helped them prepare to some extent.

Zito acknowledged that facing a team like Zamalek, who can adapt their playing style to counter their opponents, is always going to be a challenge. "At the end of the day, no matter who you are, the opposite side will make things difficult for you. You have to attack the opposite side and force them to change their game," he added.

The second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semifinal between Dreams FC and Zamalek is set to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, with both teams fighting for a spot in the final.
