Dreams FC head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, says his players risk breaking down if they don’t get enough rest in the off season.

The team has had an intense season this team, playing the most games among all Ghanaian clubs because they participated in the CAF Confederation Cup, Ghana Premier League and Ghana FA Cup.

Zito conveyed his concerns following Dreams FC's exit from the MTN FA Cup in the semifinals, relinquishing their opportunity to defend their title.

The team's demanding fixture list included participation in the CAF Confederation Cup, the Ghana Premier League, and the Ghana FA Cup, making it the busiest among Ghanaian clubs.

The disappointment stemmed from Dreams' recent 2-1 defeat to Bofoakwa Tano at the WAFA Park in Sogakope, adding to their earlier setback of a 3-0 aggregate loss to Egyptian side SC Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The defeat to Zamalek marked the conclusion of Dreams' inaugural campaign in Africa’s second-tier club competition, extinguishing their aspirations of reaching the finals.

“My boys have had enough for the year. Seriously, they’ve had enough and I think we will do our best to maintain ourselves in the league and then we give them a long break or else we will break down.”
