Dreams FC whip Heart of Lions in friendly ahead of Milo clash

Ghana's CAF Confederation Cup representatives, Dreams FC, clinched a resounding 3-0 victory over Heart of Lions in a friendly game held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

The encounter witnessed a commanding performance from the Dreams FC side during the initial 45 minutes, culminating in a lead as John Antwi capitalized with a strike, sending his team into halftime with a one-goal advantage.

The second half proved equally fruitful for Dreams FC, as they continued to assert their dominance.

Gael Aholou opened the scoring for the Dawu lads shortly after the commencement of the half, swiftly followed by another goal from John Antwi, who secured his second of the match and the team's third overall.

Both Dreams FC and Heart of Lions utilized this friendly bout to fine-tune their preparations for forthcoming contests.

Heart of Lions are gearing up for the Division One League Super Cup at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, with the event scheduled to take place from Friday, August 18 to Friday, September 1, 2023.

Meanwhile, Dreams FC is priming itself for the impending CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round clash against Guinea's Milo FC De Kankan.

In a two-legged affair, the MTN FA Cup holders are slated to embark on their first-leg trip to Conakry on Saturday, August 19.

They will subsequently return to the Accra Sports Stadium to host their opponents for the second leg on Sunday, August 27.
