Striker Eddie Nketiah scored in Arsenal's first friendly game against Ligue 1 side Lyon in the Dubai Super Cup on Thursday.

The Gunners impressed the crowd in Dubai as Gabriel jumped highest from a corner to give Arteta's men the lead 19 minutes in.

Striker Eddie Nketiah kicked off his spell as the club's leading man up top in Gabriel Jesus' absence with a great first-half performance that ended in Arsenal's second just after the 30-minute mark before Fabio Vieira completed a near-perfect half of play.

At the start of the second half, Arteta replaced the excellent Vieira with Marquinhos, who came close to adding a fourth goal for the north Londoners on several occasions.

Eddie Nketiah spent his World Cup break in Ghana, he was hosted by Ghana Women's Premier League side Ridge City. He was spotted training with the newly promoted side in Ghana.

The 23-year-old has made twelve appearances this season in the Premier League.
