Diego Godin, the captain of Uruguay, and forward Edinson Cavani were each given a one-match suspension by FIFA on Friday.
Additionally, Jose Maria Gimenez and Fernando Muslera were both given a four-match suspension by FIFA.
After their involvement in the confrontation with the referee, Daniel Siebert, following their World Cup match against Ghana, the four Uruguayan football players were given these various match suspensions.
Despite beating Ghana 2-0 in their last group match on December 2, FIFA launched an investigation against the players who abused the referee in a furious manner.
Uruguay had a 50% chance of making it out of Group H when South Korea scored in stoppage time to defeat Portugal 2-1.
By scoring one goal more than the South Americans throughout their three matches, the Koreans won the match and advanced.
The players may also be required to perform community service linked to football and pay fines of up to 20,000 Swiss francs ($21,701).
In addition, the Uruguayan FA was fined 50,000 Swiss francs for the conduct of its fans and players.
Uruguay was instructed to partially close its stadium when it hosts the next FIFA "A" international match.
