Edward Odoom has replaced Kim Grant as Hearts of Oak coach ahead of the start of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

Odoom has been named interim coach by the club after management of the club ordered head coach Kim Grant to step aside on Tuesday.

According to reports, the Phobians were forced to take the decision following a meeting with Kim Grant that ended up badly.

At the said meeting, it is understood that the board proposed that they wanted to bring on-board coach Edward Nii Odoom to work with Kim Grant as he awaits the arrival of his License that will make him eligible to coach in the Premier League.

This means thats, coach Nii Odoom will be in dugout when Hearts take on Berekum Chelsea in their league opener at the Accra Sports stadium.

This is the second time the experiencd gaffer has been handed a stop-gap role at the club since joining last year from Tema Youth.

He was given the role when Hearts parted ways with Henry Wellington last year September.
