The Egyptian FA (EFA) have revealed the new design for the Egyptian Premier League ball that will be used this season as well as the upcoming years.

The Egyptian Premier League is set to restart on August 7th after a five months suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Ahead of the league’s resumption the EFA have announced that a new ball will be used for the remainder of the season and for all the encounters,

"According to our deal with Puma, they will give us 1000 balls to finish the current season and 50 balls will be distributed to each team. And starting next season we will receive 3000 balls," EFA board member Mohamed Fadl said during a press conference.

"The logo of the Egyptian FA and the Egyptian flag will be placed on the ball starting next season. We didn’t have time to do so for this season though.

"We also have 1300 costumes that will be distributed to all referees. We will receive a proportion from ball sales. We’re also working on a new design for the national team shirt that will be announced in October.

"There will be a stand for the ball, that will be placed on the pitch for the referees to take when entering the pitch like in the European matches," he concluded.

The EFA have recorded around 19 confirmed cases among all league sides including clubs such as Zamalek, ENPPI, Wadi Degla, and Misr El-Makkasa.
