Eintracht Frankfurt and Dortmund have reached an agreement on the transfer of Ansgar Knauff

Eintracht Frankfurt and Dortmund have successfully sealed an agreement that will see the highly sought-after talent, Ansgar Knauff stay in Frankfurt.

The 21-year-old attacking player was loaned out to Eintracht Frankfurt last season from Dortmund. According to information gathered by Footballghana.com Ansgar Knauff will sign a five contract with Die Adler.

The amount agreed upon is between four and five million euros, bonus payments could also be added.

Ansgar Knauff made 33 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt across all competitions in the 2022/23 season.

Knauff scored his first goal for Eintracht on 5 March 2022 in a 4–1 victory against Hertha BSC. In the knockout phase of the Europa League campaign, he was an undisputed starter, did not miss a single minute of playing time, and scored important goals against FC Barcelona in the quarter-final and West Ham in the semifinal.

On 18 May 2022, he appeared as a starting player in the 2022 UEFA Europa League Final against Rangers and won the Europa League trophy with Eintracht Frankfurt after the penalty shoot-out.
