Eleven Wonders CEO Albert Commey excited about GPL price money

The Chief Executive Officer of Eleven Wonders, Albert Commey has expressed his excitement aboout the Ghana Premier League price money this season.

The winner of the 2020/21 Premier League will earn $42,000 (GHC 250,000) in prize money. They will also get 40 gold medals plus Ghc 10,000 worth of groceries from Melcom Shopping Center.

The runners up will receive $30,000 (GHC 150,000), 40 silver medals plus groceries from Melcom Shopping Center and the third place will pocket GHC 80,000 plus 40 bronze medals.

"It's a big plus to the league compared to the previous ones clubs received.  We accepted the previous ones although it couldn't cater for everything. We have not received the current amount before and even the coaches will have opportunities to travel for attachment," Albert Commey told Hello FM.

"The current Football Association has shown much interest in Women football."

He added, "I think they have done well and should be praised for that."

"I think the package is a big boost. It'll bring competition and many clubs will fight to be at the top. This will raise the standard of our league as well.

"The effects are many and I think they have done well."
