The head coach for Elmina Sharks, Kobina Amissah has disclosed that contrary to reports, players are only owed a month’s salary.
Recently, there have been reports that the players of the Ghana Premier League side had not been paid for up to three months.
This was after the team locked horns with Asante Kotoko in a matchday 16 encounter of the ongoing league campaign on Monday afternoon.
Speaking to Oyerepa Sports today, coach Kobina Amissah has indicated that players are only owed one month's salary.
“What I know is that the club owe the players only January Salary but they have been assured that by the middle of this month they will be paid the arrears,” the coach shared.
At the end of the tough meeting with Asante Kotoko on Monday, Elmina Sharks bagged all three points after coming from behind to defeat the side 2-1 at the Papa Kwasi Nduom Park.
