Elmina Sharks set to hand Benjamin Tweneboah new deal

Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks are set to hand Benjamin Tweneboah a new deal ahead of the start of new season despite Hearts of Oak interest, Footballghana.com can report.

Elmina Sharks are holding talks with over a new deal to keep their talisman following the expiration of his contract, according reports in the local media.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to several Ghana Premier League sides including Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Dreams FC and Ashanti Gold SC.

Tweneboah is one of the highly-rated wingers in the Ghana Premier League.

He netted two goals and provided seven assists in his 14 appearances for Elmina Sharks in the 2018 Ghana Premier League season which was halted following the airing the investigative by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on corruption in Ghana football.
