Loudon United striker Elvis Amoh has sent out a pleading message to Ghanaians to take coronavirus serious.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward who is currently in self-isolation in the United State of America (USA) want Ghanaians to treat the disease with all seriously rather than taking it as a joke.

The disease, also known as Convid-19, has so far claimed over 39,074 lives after over 804,096 infections globally, while Ghana have 152 confirmed cases with 5 deaths.

The virus has led to the suspension of all major football leagues in the world including the Ghana Premier League.

Amoh in an interview with Bryt FM advised Ghanaians to adhere to preventive measures given by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the government amid the coronavirus outbreak.

“For now I don’t think players plying their trade in America have been infected. We are all safe and I will entreat Ghanaians to adhere to all safety protocols put forth by the government and (WHO)”

“I understand some part of Ghana is on partial lockdown, and I think this step taken by the president, Nana Akuffo Addo is a good one. Ghanaians should embrace it to prevent the spread of the virus”

The 28 year old then called on Ghanaians to wash their hands regularly with soap and also use hand sanitizers. He advocated for strict observance of the safety protocols put forth to help prevent the virus.
