Elvis Manu open to Feyenoord return

Ghanaian player Elvis Manu says he would love to return to the Dutch Eredivisie with Feyenoord after a disappointing spell in England.

The 23-year-old moved to the Seagulls in 2015 after making 32 appearances for Feyenoord in three years.

After moving to Brighton in a £1million move, he was expected to kick on but he has failed to impress in the Championship. With the January transfer window coming up, Manu is determined to return to the Netherlands, with Feyenoord top of his wishlist.

"I honestly cannot wait for the winter, then there might be a chance of a loan move or a sale. I want to go back to the days that I was important," he told AD.nl.

"Feyenoord is the only club I really have a warm feeling. So if I ever get an offer to come back, then I do not need long to think about it. It’s my club, I’ve already lived my moments and built up a good relationship with the fans." Elvis Manu made just 10 appearances for Brighton before joining Huddersfield on loan, but that spell also ended in disappointment.
