Emirates Cup: Eddie Nketiah scores in Arsenal's win over AS Monaco

English-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Eddie Nketiah was in action for Arsenal on Wednesday night when the team played against AS Monaco in the Emirates Cup.

Ahead of the start of the 2023/24 football season, the Gunners have played their annual Emirates Cup in London.

In a game played at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal hosted AS Monaco in a fantastic encounter.

The visitors from France had a bright start to the game and led by a goal to nil in the 31st minute when Youssouf Fofana got his name on the scoresheet.

Fortunately, for Arsenal, the team had enough quality to get back into the game.

A strike from Ghana Black Stars target Eddie Nketiah restored parity for the Londoners in the 43rd minute.

After the game ended 1-1 at the end of regulation time, Arsenal went on to beat AS Monaco 5-4 in the penalty shootout.

In today's game, Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey started the game with new signing Declan Rice as his partner.
