Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is on the verge of re-joining Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2022/23 Ghana football season.

The former Udinese Calcio ace has reached an agreement with the Porcupine Warriors according to multiple media reports.

Badu with his wealth of experience is expected to reignite the Kotoko squad as they feature in the 2022-23 CAF Champions League.

The U-20 World Cup winner had always made his intentions clear to return to Asante Kotoko, claiming he has unfinished business with the Ghanaian giants.

During his stint with Asante Kotoko when he joined the club on loan in 2008, Badu missed a lot of games for Kotoko because he was strongly involved with the national U-20 team that won the 2009 FIFA World Cup in Egypt.

According to sources from the club, the deal is subjected to the approval of the technical team.

Agyemang-Badu was part of the Black Stars squad that played in the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

He has been clubless after leaving Qingdao after making just four appearances. Agyemang-Badu made 78 appearances for the Black Stars and scored 11 goals.
