Great Olympics head coach, Yaw Preko believes Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu will improve the club ahead of the new season.

The former Asante Kotoko midfielder has joined the two-time Ghana Premier League champions ahead of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season

Badu played a vital role as the Wonder Club won the 2022 GHALCA G6 tournament.

Preko, who has replaced Annor Walker as the head coach believes the former Black Stars midfielder still has what it takes to play at the top level and will improve the side.

“Look at Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu for instance, you know, a good player coming in and he shows everybody he still has what it takes," Preko told Citi Sports.

Great Olympics will open their new season with a home game against Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Agyemang-Badu spent majority of his career in the Italian Serie A with Udinese and had stints at Hellas Verona and Turkish side Bursaspor.

He played 78 games for Ghana’s Black Stars and scored 11 goals after helping Black Satellites win the FIFA World Under 20 Cup in 2009.
