Emmanuel Boateng donates back to his boyhood club

Black Stars striker Emmanuel Okyere Boateng returned to his Juvenile Club, De Gunners FC to donate assorted drinks, footballs and a set of jersey, the club which has been renamed as Leeds United was formed in 1999.

Boateng started his young career as a defender and spent most of his formative years at DE GUNNERS FC etching his name as a “No nonsense” centre back.

He later joined Charity Stars FC where he was transformed into an attacking player, he capped an U17 and U20 call ups between 2013 and 2015.

He played for Rio Ave and Moreirense in Portuguese in two years before joining La Liga side, Lavente for 2017-19 season.

The 23-year-old bagged a hat-trick against Barcelona  before opting for a life changing deal with Chinese club Daliang Yifang.

In an exclusive interview, he said,

“ It is always nice to comeback and play with those I started with.”

“It is always good to remember where you came from and at least give back something small.

Boateng’s teammates are Samuel Pimpong who plays for Premier League side Dreams FC and Francis McCarthy who last season played for Division One side SP MIRREN
