Elfsborg said earlier this week that Emmanuel Boateng had been placed on internal suspension due to disciplinary issues.
The 25-year-old top athlete had some regrets, but neither the team nor him would tell why he was suspended.
"Yes, I can say that I regret it. I hope all goes well soon," Boateng told BT.
Elfsborg skipper Johan Larsson also stated that the suspension hasn't affected the team.
"I think we are showing today how much he influences the team. We are a good group and we focus on everyone here, not the circumstances. It is what it is. I have nothing to say about what happened, because I don't know what happened. Noah Soderbergh is stepping in and making a big effort to fix this situation,"
After the suspension was made public Emmanuel Boateng did not play in Elfsborg's 2-1 win over Degerfors.
Emmanuel Boateng joined Swedish club Elfsborg in the summer of 2021.
