Ghanaian international Emmanuel Gyasi climbed off the bench over the weekend to feature in Spezia’s 2-0 win against Livorno in the Italian Serie B.
The two clubs have not had the best of spells in the ongoing 2019/2020 season and locked horns in a match week 15 fixture to search for 3 points for different reasons.
Following a good start to the match, Spezia midfielder Antonino Ragusa opened the scoring to give his side the lead before heading into the half time break as they worsened the woes of relegation-threatened Livorno.
Eight minutes into the second half, Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Gyasi was introduced into the game to give Spezia more firepower upfront.
They later went on to score a second goal on the 74th minute courtesy a strike from Guiseppe Mastinu.
Gyasi excelled in the minutes he spent on the pitch and was key in his side’s victory despite not getting on the scoresheet.
