Ghana international Emmanuel Lomotey provided an assist for Amiens SC on Friday to help the team defeat Valenciennes 2-0 with 10-men in the French Ligue 2.

The utility player has been key for the team since he joined in the summer transfer window.

This evening, he was handed a centre-back role to play alongside his fellow countryman Nicholas Opoku.

With no goals in the first half, Valenciennes returned from the break to test the away team.

In the 55th minute, defender Nicholas Opoku received a second yellow card and had to leave the field.

Now playing with 10-men, Amiens SC defended very well as they shut out the opponent.

In the final 10 minutes of the game, the visitors scored two goals in quick succession to amass all three points.

First Mickael Alphonse opened the scoring for Amiens SC before Emmanuel Lomotey set up Iron Gomis to score the second to seal the 2-0 win for the team.
