Asante Kotoko’s administrative manager, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, has stepped down from his role after a five-year tenure.

Dasoberi joined the Kumasi-based club in 2019 during the Nana Yaw Amponsah-led management team.

He remained the only member retained by the club’s life patron, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, after the 2022/23 season.

The former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Deputy General Secretary recently announced his departure following the end of the Ghana Premier League season.

“It’s been a difficult decision to take and there can’t be a better time like this. I am emotional about leaving but also happy because we have been able to stabilize the club even though this season has been tough on the pitch,” Dasoberi told Ghanasoccernet.

Dasoberi boasts over 15 years of experience in football administration. He rose to prominence as the GFA Deputy General Secretary in charge of Administration and once served as Team Manager for the Black Starlets.

He further contributed to football administration as a FIFA stadia inspector for World Cup qualifiers in Africa.
