After joining Asante Kotoko from Division One League side Nkoranza Warriors, Emmanuel Sarkodie was expected to be a consistent performer.

Sarkodie has explained why he didn't shine in his first season. He made 13 league appearances and two assists in his first season with the Kumasi based club.

Asante Kotoko has loaned out numerous players, including Emmanuel Sarkodie, as new head coach Prosper Nartey Ogum continues to rebuild for the upcoming season.

In an interview with Pure FM, the midfielder blamed his problems at Asante Kotoko on frequent injuries, but he is sure that he would return to complete his unfinished business with the Porcupine Warriors.

According to him, players such as Manchester United's Jesse Lingard and teammate Ibrahim Danlad recaptured their form after spending a season on loan at other teams.

After making numerous signings in the ongoing transfer window, Kotoko is willing to explore potential destinations for the midfielder.
