Legon Cities FC target, Empem Dacosta has shared that he was about to join Medeama SC last year when he opted to sign for his 'Dream Club' Asante Kotoko.

The young defender secured a big move to Kumasi in July 2019 from Karela United after he had established himself as one of the prospects on the local scene.

Since becoming a Porcupine Warrior, he has enjoyed a good spell until recently where he has not been getting playing time under new boss Maxwell Konadu.

In an interview with Kumasi FM, the central defender has shared that Kotoko will remain his number one club and even if his transfer to Legon Cities FC goes through, he will return to the Reds one day.

Looking back to the time he joined Kotoko, Dacosta revealed how he had to swerve a move to Medeama SC.

“I had to swerve Medeama for Kotoko. I was in the office of Mr. Moses Parker when Mr. Edmund Ackah of Kotoko called me. I quickly left for Kumasi for my medicals and eventually signed for Kotoko”, he shared.
