Former Hearts of Oak Managing Director, Frederick Moore has urged the leadership of the club to do everything to keep Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.

Barnieh has been subjected to contract talks with his stay at the club set to end this month.

According to reports, the 22-year-old is reluctant to renew his contract at the club despite his impressive outings.

The Black Galaxies captain has been a livewire for the club in his two years stay at the club.

And according to Mr Moore said Hearts of Oak should do everything possible to retain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.

"I hope the two of them will come to a compromise on the issue at hand," he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

"Hearts of Oak should do everything to retain the player and Barnieh must try and come to a compromise with the club because no player can be great without a club,” he added.

Afriyie Barnieh has won one Ghana Premier League title, two MTN FA Cups, the Presidents' Cup and a Super Cup.

The 21-year-old was part of the Black Stars team that exited the 2022 World Cup but did not feature in any of the games.
