Ghana international Ernest Asante scored for his Omonia Nicosia side on Friday afternoon to inspire the team to a heavy 5-1 win against Karmiotissa Pano Polemidion.
The exciting winger and his club visited the Pano Polemidhia Community Stadium today to honour a matchday 15 clash in the 2020/2021 Cyprus top-flight league.
Following an explosive start to the match, Omonia Nicosia made the dominance count in the seventh minute as Ernest Asante smashed home his fine effort.
Now in the driving seat, the visitors continued to dominate and went into the break with a two-goal lead after Fotis Papoulis had also found the back of the net in the 38th minute.
With goals from Marinos Tzionis, Thiago Santos, and Ioannis Kousoulos in the second half, Omonia Nicosia cruised to a delightful 5-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes with Nikita Baranov netting the only consolation goal for Karmiotissa Pano Polemidion.
On the matchday, Ernest Asante lasted 64 minutes of play before his place was taken by Eric Bautheac.
