Ghana international, Bernard Tekpetey was in action for Ludogorets on Tuesday evening when the team locked horns with Astana in the Uefa Europa League qualification.

Unfortunately, it was not a good day at the office for the talented Ghana winger and his teammates.

The team from Bulgaria suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Astana at the end of the 90 minutes.

In the game, the visitors took the lead through defender Noah Sundberg in the 34th minute.

Despite gaining momentum, Ludogorets could not hold onto it as Astana equalised in the 40th minute when Zarko Tomasevic scored to restore parity to the game.

After recess, Astana won the game thanks to a strike from Aleksandr Marochkin in the 53rd minute.

Ghana’s Bernard Tekpetey played 66 minutes of the defeat today before his place was taken by Caio Vidal.

Ludogorets are returning to Bulgaria to prepare for the second leg contest. A win will give the side a chance to progress to the final round of the Europa League qualification.
