Evans Adomako's injury affected us - Karela United coach after stalemate against Kotoko

Karela United coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko feels his sides chances of beating Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League was hurt by the injury to attacker Evans Adomako Wiredu.

Kotoko were handed an early scare after Evans Adomako gave the visitors the lead after just nine into the game.

But injury forced off the enterprising attacker before the end of the first half.

Substitute Baba Yahaya salvage Kotoko from defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium after netting the equalizer in the additional minutes of the game.

And coach Ibrahim Tanko concedes injury to Adomako derailed his side quest to beat the Porcupine Warriors in the week three fixture.

“It has really affected us because we were heavily relying on him to have done the kill in the first half, the pattern with which we were playing was what we came with but suddenly, he was moved out so we had to change for the second option” he said.

Karela United have managed one win, one draw and one defeat after three games into the Ghana Premier League season.
