Everton manager Ronald Koeman is personally scouting Ajax midfielderDavy Klaassen, according to theMirror.


The 24-year-old Dutch international is out of contract in 2019 and is reportedly a prime target for Everton.


Klaassen has indicated that he may be willing to leave Ajax, although it's not clear whether the club are interested in allowing their captainto leave for a reasonable price.

He is also believed to be attracting the interest of Serie A side Napoli, and Bundesliga club Frankfurt.


Klaassen has made 162 appearances for Ajax, scoring 50 goals, and providing 33 assists since breaking through the youth ranks at the club.This season he has 15 goals and seven assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.


Ajax are currently second inEredivisie table, five points behind league leadersFeyenoord, looking to win their first title since 2013-14.

Everton, meanwhile, are seventh in the Premier League, and signed midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United in the January transfer window.
