Morgan Schneirderlin has denied he was sent home from Everton training.

The French midfielder and Kevin Mirallas were left out of the Toffees squad for Sunday's win over Watford after being involved in an incident at training the day prior.

Sky Sports reported that the pair were sent home after caretaker boss David Unsworth said they displaying a lack of effort, but the 27-year-old has taken to social media to deny the claims.

He wrote on Twitter: "I have seen press stories today about me 'being sent away from training'. The stories are not true.

"I am fully committed to Everton and will continue to work hard for the club and the fans in training and on the pitch."
